Season Opening Meet

Saturday, February 16 2019 - Lyons Township Tri Meet with Nazareth

The first meet is a great chance to finally compete. The season has been officially underway for over a month. This winter has been less than ideal for training with the weather, so it can be tough to stay focused without getting to compete to see your training pay off, but finally Thursday we had a chance to race!

Here are a few of the highlights from our first meet

Yazan Masri has a day! The senior threw a 6 foot PR in the shot put! Boom! 46 feet. Then Yazan came back to lead off the winning throwers relay with Justyn Wheeler, Jacob Rojo, and Colin Walzer. Yazan also came away with the #PRChain.

Hunter Fuss dominates the sprints. Hunter PRd in both the 200 and 400 and won them both!

Freshman Aaron Wyckoff won the fr/so mile in 5:09. He ran a controlled race and pulled away for an 8 second win.

Jordan Facio with an impressive triple. Jordan PRd in the 4x800 (2:15) to start his day, then he PRd in the open 400, and hen came back to run just off his PR in the 4x400.

Brodie McIntyre was also impressive with a 6 foot PR in the shot put.

The Todd brothers had a great night as well in their first track meet. Patrick ran 2:19 and 59 split in 4x4, not to be outdone by his brother Richard ran 2:16 and 55.7 in the same events. This should be a warning to our competition, these guys are for real.
