A Return to the Track

The Wildcats competed in their first outdoor meet in nearly 2 years. And the guys took advantage of the opportunity. Despite less than ideal conditions (rain, cold, and wind) everyone put together some great efforts.

A few highlights:

Mike Forbear took the win in the new PR in the 1600 running 4:43.

Richard and Patrick Todd finished 2^nd and 3^rd in the 200, with Richard winning his heat.

The team had a few heat winners. Alex Rojo ran a gutsy anchor leg to lead the distance crew of Mike Forbear, Aaron Wyckoff, and Cam Mulyk to a win in the penultimate heat of the 4x400. Bryan Underwood won his heat in the 200. Connor O’Leary won his heat in the 100 and finished 5^th overall, and Nick Papesh also won his heat of the 100.

Bryan Underwood ran with guts and confidence in the 300 hurdles after going over hurdles for the first time last week.

The team also had some great opportunities for growth and improvement as we move forward.

Next up is a tri-meet at Plainfield South and then The Hunt next Thursday.
