PR Pink Season

Saturday, October 11 2025 - Lakes Twilight


After a few weeks with the team not racing as one complete group, the team was back in action at Lakes. The PR Pink was in full effect.

The Bronze Race got things rolling for the team. Noah Deluna was aggressive from the jump, leading the way for the Wildcats through the first mile, but bringing Oppong Boakye, Emerson Raino, and Ameer Hamza along with for a great start to the race. Oppong battled and moved up great in his first race of the season. Noah hung tough, running almost a 50 second lifetime PR. Thomas Coleman has been on a mission lately, and it paid off with a big breakthrough nearly cracking the 19 minute barrier. Freshman, Sebastian Fuglestad took another step in the right direction, with a big PR. The other freshman were not wanting to be left out, they come up with a slew of PRs as well. Cole Novotny took a few seconds off his PR. Charles Henderson took a big chunk off time of his PR. Damon Miller dropped a second on his PR. Matthew Hansen got aggressive and came away with a PR. Luke Jensen made the choice early to let it rip, and he came away with a PR as well.

The Silver Race saw some great progress for the team. Will Carter and Joey Des Garrenes led the way, Will continues his incredible progress this season, getting even closer to the sub 18 barrier. Joey unfortunately took a spill, but is back to running at full health and has a big few weeks ahead. Brayden Lane also continues on his hot streak, with another big run taking 11 seconds off his PR. Nessa Rodriguez dropped a big season best time to lead the way for the girls. Ashlynn Sabatini has been pushing the pace every day at practice, she came away with a huge break out race. Evelle Irenio stepped up in her first varsity race, coming away with a nearly 3 minute PR.

The Gold Race was 8 lifetime bests and 1 season best. Spencer Kazak ran strong at the gun, and it paid off with over 30 second PR. Caden De Graaf broke 18 for the first time, last Thursday and now he is a sub 17 guy, over 43 second PR in his first varsity race. The pack of Ty Vitanovec, Dominik Barrios, and Diego Arce ran like a team, feeding off of each other’s energy and all 3 ran lifetime bests. Ty with a 17 second best, Dom with 20 seconds, and Diego with 45 seconds.

Brooke Rochacz etched her name in the PHS record books, running 18:41, becoming the 3rd fastest runner in PHS history! She ran with courage from the start, and it paid off with a big PR. Poppy Hohman ran with courage and battled every step of the way, to come away with a PR. Sam Norville got a breakthrough after a long season of tough work at practice, Sam continues to work hard and the results will continue to follow. Sophie Salkas toed the line with a mental toughness that reflected in a season best time.

The PR Pink came up in a big way, 23 PRs across the board!

The good times will continue to roll, next Friday at the SPC Championship.
