Summer Weather Yields Fast TImes

Wednesday, April 28 2021 - SPC Tri Meet Plainfield South and Joliet Central


The weather warmed up and the team ran some great times in our tri-meet at Plainfield South.

A few of the highlights, Connor O’Leary won the 100 meter dash in a new PR, Mike Forbear won the 800 meter run in a new PR. Richard Todd won the 400 meter dash, and Bryan Underwood won the frosh/soph 300H in a new PR.

Lots of PRs on the night. Gabe Carrero and Brodie McIntyre both broke 40 feet (12.21 meters) for the first time in shot. Brodie also PR’d in the discus. Nathan Lusk had a double PR in discus and shot put, and Nick Syron also had a PR in the discus.

Sprint crew had a great day of racing and jumping. We ran a season best in the 4x100 with Connor O’Leary, Richard Todd, Patrick Todd, and Anthony Nieves. Anthony also ran a PR in the 200. John Costa, Joey Mikolajczyk, and Ethan Obeng all ran PRs in the 100. Joining Anthony with PRs in the 200 were Nick Papesh, Xavier Coffee, Mikolajczyk, and Obeng.

The distance guys also had a great time with many PRs. Joining Forbear in the 800 with PRs were Patrick Kacena, Henry Matson, Alex Rojo, Aaron Wyckoff, and Jason Zigmant. The three distance runners who stepped down to the 400 all ran PRs, Harlen Matson, Tommy Adelmann, and Aiden Haughian.

And to finish off the day the 4x400 of Harlen Matson, Forbear, Paul De Avila, and Tommy Adelmann all ran PR legs that led to a season best time in the 4x400.

Mike Forbear was awarded the PR chain with 2 PRs and an event victory.

The Wildcats are back in action Thursday at The Hunt.
